TVP technology has long been developed in Taiwan. With the increasing demand for a sustainable plant-based protein source, the development of a flexible but stable meat substitute production for vegan population process has become a necessity. Our Twin Screw Extruder is designed with exact temperature control and adjustable screw to reform and re-structure the plant-based protein to generate protein fibers (fibration). This cooking extrusion process is important for the texture and mouthfeel of TVP and HMMA.
Back in 1997, IDAH established a food-grade laboratory equipped with two co-rotating twin-screw extruders. Later the lab was expanded to a HACCP-certified vegetarian food plant. This food plant is dedicated to producing numerous types of TVP to a broad spectrum of delicious and sizzling plant-based dishes such as nuggets, patties, and sausages. In addition to manufacturing the machine, IDAH also offers the basic formulation and production know-how to our customers.
Since 1974, IDAH designs and manufactures processing equipment and complete turn-key projects for aqua feed, pet food, animal feed, extruded snack, textured vegetable protein (TVP), plant-based meat, and wood pellets. Our core product and service include: R&D Prototyping, Education, Consultancy, Turnkey solution, Single Machine, and Spare Parts.
