Production of Slice-Type Plant Based Meat / South Korea

Our customer is a well-known instant noodle manufacturer in South Korea. The customer bought our co-rotating twin-screw extruder (Model EP-50D) for producing slice-type Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP). This customer is planning to do some researches on the production method of traditional TVP and also the High Moisture Meat Analogue (HMMA) in the future.


A 30 HP (22.5 KW) AC motor drives the twin-screw extruder. The extrusion part consists of four barrels, complete with an electrical-powered heating element. These barrels are placed on a railway which can be drawn out to expose the screws for the easiness of the cleaning process and maintenance. Based on the product requirement, the screws can be replaced and re-configured.


This machine purchase comes as a package with the basic formulation for TVP production. IDAH also provides training and troubleshooting of the extruder.
